Stephen Pullum Joins AI CERTs® Certified Trainer (AICT) Advisory Board
New York, USA — January — a leading global authority in vendor-aligned and role-based AI certification, today announced that Stephen Pullum has joined its Certified Trainer (AICT) Advisory Board.
Stephen Pullum is widely recognized for his leadership in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, with more than four decades of professional experience across government, defense, and emerging technology sectors. He is the Founder of AfricurityAI and serves as a Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO), focusing on responsible AI adoption, governance, and workforce education.
Pullum previously served for 27 years in the United States Air Force, where he led defensive cyber operations and cybersecurity initiatives. His military service included senior responsibilities in cyber defense, and he received multiple commendations during his tenure, including the U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal and Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters.
His work in ethical and responsible AI governance includes participation in global and national advisory initiatives, including engagement with the European Union AI Office Code of Practice Plenary, the U.S. National AI Advisory Committee (NAIAC), and World Economic Forum–related AI initiatives. These roles reflect his ongoing involvement in shaping AI policy, governance, and standards.
Pullum holds an extensive portfolio of professional certifications in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies and is an IEEE Senior Member, underscoring his long-standing commitment to professional excellence and responsible innovation. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for the Executive Strategic AI program at Houston Christian University.
In addition to joining the AI CERTs Certified Trainer Advisory Board, Pullum partners with AI CERTs as an Authorized Training Partner (ATP) at the Silver level and is an AI CERTs Certified Trainer (AICT). His work emphasizes expanding AI literacy, strengthening ethical AI practices, and improving access to AI education for diverse and underrepresented communities.
