However, I don’t believe AI itself is inherently good or bad—its impact depends on how we, as humans, choose to design, apply, and govern it. Beyond the technical knowledge, this course reaffirmed a belief that has become even more meaningful to me: 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀—𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. Technology should empower human intelligence, creativity, and decision-making—not replace our judgment, ethics, or sense of responsibility. As professionals, we have a responsibility to ensure AI is used to create value, solve meaningful problems, improve lives, and support informed decision-making while upholding fairness, transparency, and accountability. For me, learning AI isn’t about following a trend. It’s about understanding how to use it responsibly, make better decisions, and contribute to innovative solutions that create lasting value. This certification is another step in preparing for a future where human expertise and artificial intelligence complement one another—not where one replaces the other. I’m excited to continue exploring AI and its applications in different fields and strategic decision-making, and to keep learning how it can be applied responsibly to drive meaningful impact. Just earned the AI-Enabled Coordinated Assurance certificate from The Institute of Internal Auditors (in partnership with AI CERTs®). Internal audit, risk, and compliance still operate in silos more than we'd like to admit: duplicated testing, gaps between the lines, three different views of the same risk. Built around IIA Standard 9.5 (Coordinated Assurance), the program shows how AI becomes the shared layer — mapping coverage, surfacing overlaps and gaps, and letting each function genuinely rely on the others' work.
